School Liason Officer Top
The ACSO has a full time school Liaison Officer.

The school Liaison officer has the following duties:

  • Dare: Educates our children with the tools they need to resist drugs and make the right choices. Teaches our children how to refuse drugs and avoid violence.
  • Safety Drills: assist schools with various safety drills.
  • Bicycle Safety: instructs proper use and operation of bicycles.
  • Bus Safety: instructs students on student safety on the school bus.
  • Stranger Danger: explains the dangers of meeting strangers and what the student should do in a bad situation.
  • Car Seat Installation: assist the car owner on proper installation of child restraints.
  • Truancy: assist schools and family for attendance concerns of students.
  • Bullying: informs students of what behavior is expected and appropriate for schools.
  • Drunk Goggles Class: instructs young drivers about the problems with drinking and driving. Hands on demonstrations, explains laws and consequences for driving wile intoxicated.
  • STOPPED: a parental notification system that was developed for the state by the Michiganís Sheriffs Association, the purpose of STOPPED is to reduce the number of young drivers who are injured or killed in motor vehicle crashes each year.
